550,000 hectares.
One regenerative vision.
We are planting trees on 550,000 hectares across three regions of Ghana. The carbon credits from these forests will pay for schools, markets and long-term jobs in the communities that own the land.
A forest that pays for its communities
Ayissi Project Ghana Limited leads a reforestation programme on degraded land in Ghana. The trees capture carbon, international bodies certify it, and we sell the credits on world markets. That income returns to the three regions as infrastructure and work.
- Restore degraded land with tree species chosen for carbon capture
- Certify carbon credits and sell them on international markets
- Build processing plants for soybean, cassava and other crops
- Employ men and women from each community
Three regions, one mandate
The project land lies in the Eastern, Ashanti and Volta regions of Ghana. The chiefs of each community came together under one Ghanaian company, which legally granted Ayissi Project Ghana Limited a Power of Attorney to promote the project for 15 to 50 years.
From bare land to a local economy
Land
Community chiefs commit degraded land to the project under a legal Power of Attorney.
Planting
Local crews plant and maintain oxygen-rich tree species, phase by phase.
Certification
International environmental bodies measure and certify the carbon the forest captures.
Carbon sales
We sell certified credits on world markets, with an insurance wrap to steady revenue.
Agro-industry
Processing plants and warehouses turn local crops into products for Ghana and export.
Community
Carbon revenue funds schools, hostels and marketplaces in each region.
Healthy forests. Stronger communities.
Forest restoration
550,000 hectares of degraded land returned to forest.
Carbon capture
Certified credits that count toward global climate targets.
Local employment
Over 1,000 jobs, with priority for young men and women.
Biodiversity
New habitat for wildlife and room for organic honey production.
